Universal Maidens Association Cameroon (UNIMAC) is a non-profit, apolitical, and non-religious organization dedicated to empowering and uplifting women and girls in Cameroon. Established with a mission to promote gender equality, we provide resources, opportunities, and support to create a more inclusive society where every woman can thrive and succeed.
We urge employers, the state, and civil society – particularly youths and women – to join us in our quest to shape a just and equitable world. Together, we can forge pathways to autonomy and self-resilience for maidens (young girls and women), while creating a foundation for a more inclusive and supportive society.
We implement training programs and workshops to enhance women’s skills in leadership, communication, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship. We raise awareness on important gender-related issues in Cameroon and advocate for policies that promote gender equality and women’s rights. Additionally, we organize health and wellness campaigns, workshops, and activities to promote the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of maidens.
We provide access to resources, training, and mentorship programs to help women achieve financial security and independence. We support young women in Cameroon by offering educational opportunities, scholarships, and career advancement to improve their professional prospects. Additionally, we engage in community service projects, charity events, and social initiatives that benefit marginalized groups and promote social change.
We foster partnerships with other NGOs, businesses, and government agencies to leverage resources, expertise, and opportunities for maidens. We develop leadership skills among members through mentorship programs, leadership training, and opportunities for leadership roles within UNIMAC. To ensure the long-term success and growth of UNIMAC in Cameroon, we establish sustainable fundraising strategies, organizational structures, and governance systems. Additionally, we create safe spaces for women to share their experiences and support each other
