My name is Fomba July Alie from the North West Region of Cameroon presently living in Yaounde with my two[2] children. I am forty-three [43] years of age. I came to Yaounde in 2020 as a result of the Anglophone Crisis and it has not been easy for me and my two[2] children. My children had to drop-out of school because I was unable to sponsor them despite my efforts. Mean of paying bills was not there and we were thrown out in the street. I was directed to the UNIMAC office in Yaounde and when we got there, we were given some assistance and accommodation until I was given a job as a Domestic worker in one establishment after signing my contract, UNIMAC assisted me with accommodation for three[3] months and later I continue paying for the accommodation and my children were able to attend an evening school from the salary I am receiving from my job. I am also registered in the CNPS. I really want to thank the management of UNIMAC for what they are doing for many of us who are vulnerable. May GOD bless the organization.

Mrs Tipa Martha Anoh is my name. I am from the North West Region precisely in Momo Division. I and my family relocated to Yaounde as a response to the ongoing Anglophone Crisis that affected us deeply. Being in Yaounde since 2018 has not been an easy task for us especially sponsoring our three[3] children. However, GOD has been seeing us through and I wish to appreciate the management team of UNIMAC for the good things they are doing in the sector of protecting Domestic Workers in Cameroon. The honest truth is that since I engaged myself in Domestic Work since we came to Yaounde, the highest amount I have received as salary is twenty-five thousand francs [25000frs] and is not regular. Since I came across UNIMAC, my situation has changed. I now earn seventy thousand francs [70000frs] with a signed contract and I am registered under CNPS. Today I am proud to say UNIMAC is a GOD-sent organisation to look into the needs of so many of us suffering in the domestic Work sector. May this same GOD replenish the source of UNIMAC.

I am Tifuh Angeline age 52 years old, married with four[4] children. From the North West Region of Cameroon but presently living in Yaounde the Capital City of Cameroon as a result of the Anglophone Crisis. We were deeply affected by the crisis and since then my husband's health is not been okay. My two children dropped out of school and together, we were all doing Domestic Work. It has not been easy for us. My 15-year-old daughter who was working as a Nanny in a home here in Yaounde stayed for more than six [6] months without a salary. The twenty thousand francs [20000frs] promised to be paid each month has never been given completely. However, in October 2022 I was opportune to watch a program on CRTV in which I heard the Director of UNIMAC talking about the activities of the organization. I was happy when I heard him say UNIMAC stands against the exploitation of Domestic Workers in Cameroon. I immediately took the contact. When I called, I was directed to the office, and behold my situation and that of my family changed. I was given a cleaning job and UNIMAC followed up to see that I sign a contract and also be registered under CNPS. It was done thanks to UNIMAC. I now have an account created for me by UNIMAC where my employer pays my salary directly through the account. My daughter’s case was handled by UNIMAC and she is also fine. May GOD bless UNIMAC mightily for the good work.

Miss Beltine Dzerla is my name. I am 31 years old with two children and I am from the North West Region of Cameroon precisely in Banso but I have been living in Yaounde since 2018 due to the Anglophones Crisis. I really want to thank GOD for the preservation of life. It has not been easy with me and my children here in Yaounde but I wish to say that putting trust in GOD is the best thing a human being should do. I trusted GOD for a better future and I came across UNIMAC on Facebook I realized that UNIMAC is advocating against the exploitation of Domestic Workers in Cameroon and I immediately contacted the organization for help. fortunate for me I was placed in a school as a janitor[cleaner]and I am so happy because UNIMAC ensures that a contract was established between me and the employer. My greatest joy is that UNIMAC created an account for me where my salary is directly paid through the account and I am also been registered in the CNPS since May 2022 when I discovered UNIMAC. My living conditions and that of my children have improved and I am able to sponsor them now. May the ALMIGHTY GOD protect and provide means to the UNIMAC team to continue doing the good work they are doing. There are many Domestic Workers going through exploitation and need protection and I pray may they too be located in JESUS's name.
