We are pleased to share the outcome of our recent activity on Menstrual Hygiene, organized by Universal Maidens Association (UNIMAC) on Sunday, 15th February 2026, at the Ntarinkon community. The event brought together 20 adolescent girls and 3 facilitators, with the support of Madam Geimia Grace, a public health expert., Tubuo Carine Funkwuin ( Mental Health and Psychosocial support worker)And madam Mary
The session focused on promoting dignity and pride among menstruating girls, educating them on proper pad usage, and body care during and after periods. The girls actively participated, asking pertinent questions and receiving valuable guidance.
A notable highlight was a 16-year-old girl who experienced her first period during the session. With the facilitators’ assistance, she was able to manage the situation and received a pack of pads. Her mother and other parents expressed gratitude for the impactful program, requesting our continued involvement in educating young girls in the community.
The event’s success is attributed to your generous funding, which enabled UNIMAC to provide essential materials, including pads. We appreciate your support and look forward to continued collaboration.
